Just because you research something doesn't automatically mean you're clear from impulse shopping blame.
I had money saved up to buy one of three things. Two things I needed, and one thing I wanted...guess which one I bought?
I wouldn't doubt my decision on the HUGE want purchase of my camera, except my computer decided to get morbidly ill this weekend. I'll be lucky if it lasts the month.
Here's where the cascade of bad shopping Karma kicks in: First, my computer is dying and I'll have to go out an buy a new one, thus upping the DEBT I was supposed to pay off with my camera money. Second, if I don't get a new computer, my iPod - which is my lifeline, for those of you who don't know me at all - will become my newest paperweight, since it only works when my computer works (syncing is a blessing and a curse). And third and most important, I'll also be stuck with no internet, and no way to upload my PICTURES from my NEW CAMERA.
SO: even though I researched the crap out of this camera, and felt justified in purchasing it because of my research and months of saving, I've totally screwed myself over with its purchase since it was the #3 priority on my list of things to get with my savings.
But here's where it really gets pathetic...
I have 90 days to return my new toy and get what I should have gotten in the first place....but I fully intend to keep my camera and live with the consequences.
Masochist, or spoiled brat?
No, you deserve the camera and it is a gift to enhance your gift of becoming a great photographer. I fully belive your debt and computer problems will work themselves out. Keep it and enjoy it.
